What Do You Appreciate The Most About Naruto?

For me it's the art.

In a world of Manga that uses unproportional, cartoony characters, Kishimoto keeps his characters more or less realistic, with a few exceptions. It feels like much more effort is put into the imagery of Naruto, certainly when it comes to character details, expressions, the background, clothing, etc.

Most other mangas are unproportional, and it irratates me. I appreciate that Naruto has some great, realistic, and at times breathtaking art.

What about you? Why do you appreciate Naruto?

The fact that there are characters who reside in darkness. They give it a sense of realism, since in the real world, everything isn't all bonds and rainbows. The villains are very interesting.

The intense, detailed Lore of the Naruto world. Unlike some anime, Naruto's antagonists aren't wholly evil, who do things for personal glory or satisfaction. They have their own way of making things right with the world, though they are seen as Dark and Evil to Idealists.

the way kishi got funky and creative with their powers, it allows for a lot of flexibility and originality in the fight scenes

I would have said story if this question were to be asked at the time of the first - I don't know, say - 350 chapters or so? But now I just don't feel as excited when it comes to the plot. Art style is my answer. It strikes me how simplistic kishi's drawings can be, and still effect you in a way that will leave you questioning this guy's abilities -or at least that goes for me. *_*
