What do we do when we don't know what the right thing to do is?

Like what if a siutation becomes so complex that our morals can't guide us, we are at a a complete loss of what the right thing is to do?


Like for example if animals start to talk and when you hunt them or keep them in a barn they say things like "don't eat me" or "I want rights".

Suddenly we feel bad for eating meat, or what if robots take our jobs and we like want those jobs but the robots are better than us at doing those jobs, so we don't deserve them.

When these things happen, do we simply lose our minds?
