My problem is that me and my best friend both liked the same girl. The thing is she liked him before but they didn't go out because he didn't like her back then. So me and friend both liked her about a month ago and I told him then that he could ask her out since she once liked him and he didn't wanna ruin our friendship so I told him to just go for it. Sure enough, he asked her out and she said yes. The thing is me and her text A LOT since I was planning on asking her out before I learned that my friend liked her too. She's told me lots of her secrets over time and we've gotten really close even though I'm pretty sure at this point I've been friendzoned. The thing is once they started dating I thought I was losing feelings for her but that's not the case and I still REALLY like her. I can't really distance myself from her at this point cuz we're close and she'd be confused as to why I stopped talking to her. So I should continue things like this and like her but not tell her or should I tell her the whole situation and explain why this is why I need to stop talking to her? I'm in grade 10 btw, well acc just finished grade 10.

He's already dating her cuz I let him ask her out, I text her all the time and still like her, should continue with how things are or tell her I like her and shouldn't be texting her anymore cuz she's dating my friend

Okay, on a serious note.
How important is she to you? Do you see her only as a possible love-interest or do you actually care about her as a person? Value her as a friend? I mean she told you her secrets, right? Then she cares about you, in what ever way it might be. Why would you think about dropping that. What does your friend have to do with the friendship between you and that girl?

I definitely care about her but I mean I still really like her. I'm just wondering if it would be better off for everyone if I liked her in silence and just tried to accept being her friend or I should let her know. The thing is if I do let her know I don't think it would be best for us to continue talking since it would be awkward and she's dating my friend.

If I were in your position, I'd keep my feelings for myself and cherish the friendship with her. Who knows, maybe you'll experience a moment where you feel that it is time to tell her how you feel. If I were in the situation of the girl in question, I'd probably feel awkward if two friends were interested in me at the same time.. like.. as if two lions are fighting for the same prey. That could force a lot of pressure on the girl.
But then again, I'm not the best person to take an advice from. That's just how I see this kind of things.
