I kind of agree. Madara did say that he couldn't bring out his full power for some reason though.
But those rods are stuck into is pressure points so he can't mold chakra, Just like when Neji power pokes you.

But IDK why Sasuke couldn't have just pulled em out.

actually i hate it most because its a plot no juts and a huge plot hole. probably the biggest plot hole in the entire arc.
Black rods pearled your pressure points. for a normal person that would be the end of it... or maybe not.

first time naruto used rasengan shuriken against kakuzo, he severed a bunch of his chackra connections but thanks to his regeneration he was able to recover. Hashi is known for having the best regeneration of all. So here is a plot no jutso.

The plot hole has to do with a concept that suddenly Kishi decided to ignore. It's called EDO TENSEI! Hashirama is an Edo his body is imortal and has eternal regeneration, meaning that all it was needed was for his body to destroyed or the rods pulled out and his body would go back to normal in an instant. the most stupid part is that sasuke actually refers that hash is an edo.

So i think that thing right there was Kishi saying "Im gonna wrap this up and i don't care about logic and coherence and stfu!"

I take the anime over the manga once both are done. It was the same for Dbz. Anime can basically be considered the "updated" version. But fans always have their excuses because of the butt hurt. But oh well.

The entire war. The fact that nobody ever dies, except neji who's death was terrible imo. The war feels like one big play ground of strong characters sitting around doing to nothing.

i was dissapointed by issue 662. i cant even remember to have seen swirl zets anywhere until today.
and that death pic at the end... what the hell was that..
