I don't think that the clone could have as it was never suggested that it could. Plus that's just expanding more chakra on naruto's part as Kaguya would see what's up and act accordingly. Kakashi's sharinngan limit was up, pretty sure Kaguya would hear and giant nehemoth descending before she hears a girl pf sakura's weight. I know not a lot of us like Sakura but that doesn't mean we should just blatantly disregard what she did entirely. Albeit there would be no Kaguya if she just stabbed Obito to begin with
