As far as I am concerned the whole "moon falling" plot/sub-plot is a enlarged scale rip-off of Madara's Tengai Shinsei during the war. Should've been something more original and not done...

Well nothing in this world is really original, just remixed and tweaked to someones else liking you know? There are plenty of movies and video games where a meteor or the moon is falling on Earth doesn't make it automatically a bad thing. Majora Mask is a perfect example
