At this exact time, both Sakura and Kakashi were useless.

Sasuke says this

Naruto responds with this, remembering the fight at the bridge and using it as a counter for Sasuke saying the world is more important then two lives that couldn't do anything at the time

He just proved sasuke wrong and knows that he does care for kakashi and sakura. That's all.

What is there to think? Sasuke just said the only reason he saved them was cause they were next to naruto. And naruto reminded him of the past. It just means sasuke hasent made up his mind yet.

Naruto's making a point that simply telling him to focus on the bigger picture isn't going to change anything. If the people he cares about are in danger his body would just end up moving on it's own. Kind of like what Sauce did for him in the past.

He quoted Sasuke to remind him of the past.

Sasuke was putting on airs that he didn't care about Kakashi and Sakura when in fact he knew about their well-being even before Naruto himself knew.

Sasuke cares.
