[Discussion] what did the great lord elder actually predict?

hi guys. i was recently watching the anime again and i was wondering in one episode where naruto before going to train with killer bee gets summoned to listen to the great lord elder´s prohecy. after telling him about an octopus the elder says "you will fight a young man whose power lies in his eyes. And..." naruto interupts because he already knows that sasuke is that person or at least thats what he thinks... now i want to ask if its said that the prophecy is about sasuke or maybe someone else. either way, there are two things sure. the prohecy will turn right AND either it is sasuke and we have a proof for a sasuke naruto fight or there has to be someone else... obito and madara in my opinion dont count as young men or? thx for answering guys

PS: i have the feeling that sasuke is the obvious choice and just the fact that naruto doesnt let the elder finish makes me realy sceptical

It hasn't been confirmed who it is yet. But I would think the prophecy is referring to Sasuke.

Nope, Madara's Ancient & Obito's at least 30 years old it has to be Sasuke.

so then at least we know there will be a fight because a lot of people started thinking that there will be no fight. rather sasuke and naruto against obito madara or whatever

Here is the question....was the Elder reffering to Sasuke or Obito....we have seen the frogs call even old people young (like Jiraiya by Pa). So was the frog referring to him in this similar context?! Also it says man...in term of men 30 is rather young compared to 72 (close to the average death age)....it would also be someone just a few years out of college....still young.

He either meant Sasuke or Obito...could be either! We can't say at this point. I would imagine he meant Obito as it would end up as a typical Naruto move. He thinks he knows what's going on only to find out he was completely wrong (like thinking Haku was a girl). Then again it has been hinted Naruto and Sasuke will have one last fight.

I find it very suspicious that naruto didn't let the elder frog finsh his prediction. Theres more to do it than sasuke I believe, this typical kishi style leaving us guessing.

It already has. That Justsu is just referring to mastering control of the Kyuubi chakra. During the 3 year skip Naruto was training how to control the Kyuubi chakra, and the sealing frog was used to loosen the seal. That's why he knows about it. In the the pages I posted this is obvious because he re-uses the term "that Jutsu" when referring to transferring control of the seal to Naruto, in which a few chapters later he used to take control of The 9 tails chakra. Completing the training he did with jiraiya.
