And what did Naruto mean by his response? Didn't clearly understand why they even started talking about this.

Naruto understands that Both naruto and Sasuke - Yin and Yang - are the only Two that can stop kaguya and thus they're very...very! important at the moment. naruto cannot lose Focus right now , and start blabling with kakashi and sakura. he needs to forgot them. He already made a Clone so i hope that clone brings the fodders to save places out of this fight so naruto can finally focus.

He meant that Kakashi and Sakura are a burden to their success since Naruto holds back to save them and while Naruto agreed to that and said that he would act like Sasuse suggested, he noted that he's moving by his heart and even though he knows what logic says about the best possibilities, he simply can't help but save his comrades.

He means just be coincidence kakashi and Sakura are there the only reason they were saved and naruto understand that they are the only hope and that kakashi and Sakura can't do anything so they he needs to know he is of more concern
