What did Sasuke mean when he said...

"Naruto, infact I was the jealous one, because you had a strength I had not".

What did he mean by "a strength"? Obviously its not about power, because Sasuke ranks 1st there along with Naruto.

Can anyone elaborate on this quote?

It was Naruto's ability to walk in front of him, like Itachi once dead. It's a bit ambiguous at first, but it more or so involves the certainty of their resolves. Naruto never once stopped believing in his nindo and the same with Itachi, he always believed in the Will of Fire and stuck to his instincts all the time. Sasuke always had a change of plans every time he got closer to unraveling the truth, and his resolve always wavered. Whereas Naruto and Itachi never had that problem, hence why they both had that power to "walk in front of me".

Thats a little subjective , but it would be in reference to the resemblance naruto had to itachi.
Though we don't don't know what sasuke felt when itachi "walked in front of him" because its never really specified.
Its a feeling naruto instills in him aswell and by sasuke's words its a quality he personally lacks
but going by sasuke's views of itachi and naruto and the similarities between the two the strength would seem to be admirability (they make people look up to them)

It also think Sasuke is refers to Naruto's broad heart to put others over his own self and his goals in life.

Sasuke kept rejecting other connections ever since his family died and took a more or less self-centered approach.

Whenever Sasuke fought it was always for his personal objectives, e.g his clan, his clan's honor etc.

They both were loner's but sasuke was from the uchiha clan and some people admired him.. Naruto was alone all along and he fought to get everything he has up to this moment, that's why sausage respects him.
