[Question] What did Mayuri do to Kira?

For Kubo to say that "Kiras hinted at bankai would be disgusting". Is it what Kiras bankai we will really look like even if he didn't get shot in the stomach or is this a hint that Mayuri modified Kiras Zanpacktou like he does his usually. What do any of you think about this?

He turned him into the Terminator that specifically targets 30 feet high birds with a prodigious god complex. Why didn't Kubo/Mayuri restore his missing right side? He looks awkward walking around like that.

As for his Zanpakuto, I think it hasn't been modified at all.
