We see Madara's Rinnegan before Sasuke gets frozen.

What is this, exactly? Sasuke has EMS, it's highly unlikely eye genjutsu would work on him...

And yet, it did...

I'm pretty satisfied with how the Rinnegan is so damn OP. Nagato looks like nothing in comparison to Madara.

Yeah, but Pain never had the ability to stun someone. He could throw or pull, but Madara stopped Sasuke in mid air and also completely paralysed him.
