Seriously though, that was probably nothing more than a plot device for Sasuke to get sidelined until he was supposed to be back in action. If he can actually disable Hashirama's senjutsu somehow, it ain't happening until he can get by those Shadow Madaras. And there's still no telling what else Madara is capable of with those 2 Rinnegan.

So....that still hasn't been revealed yet. What the hell did he give to Sasuke? Senju DNA, so he can summon the presence of the Sage of the Six Paths and awaken the Rinnegan?

Then again, Hashirama would need knowledge of the SO6P and Rinnegan for him to even consider the above
