At the five kage summit conference gaara said to the tsuchikage "When did you rise above yourselves?" but when the tsuchikage had a flashback of that he said "When did you people abandon yourselves?" and in the anime he said "When did you all forsake yourselves?" so does anyone know which one it is? Cause I'm getting really confused

Eh the anime and manga alike will often show flashbacks with slight alterations to what was actually said, quite common. Basically, the translation is 'when did you forsake yourselves' or 'when did you abandon your ideals' basically 'since when did you loose your faith in yourself/ others'. This is basically how Oonoki was convinced by Gaara to stop his stubborn ways and recall his younger days.
