if you come to think of it,.... almost every filler we've seen has some relevant inclusion to the main story..... whether someone learns a new move, or some experience is gained.... i don't think fillers are there for nothing... well at least not naruto fillers.... but yerr..... I think that the episode you're referring to is just explaining in detail, what the manga is describing quite generally.... ciao
