[Discussion] What crew position is still open?

In what season does this show actually get good? I'm starting to fell like im messing out on something, it looks so lame as far as animation is concerned, but maybe i'm being to critical.

There is no such thing as "In what season does this show actually get good".

What you see from the start just Luffy. no ship, no crew-mate. He starts from zero until he reach one hundred. So far, he's 50/50 ... Strong ship, 8 crew-mates, most wanted crew, allies, reputation. Luffy build his own reputation as legend. He became so dangerous in the eyes of the world.

oda designed nami to make her a witch, so they dont need a magician.... jimbei is a fishman. thats a role in itself, best in water fighter we have seen so far in this show. and what did i miss? what fruit does rebecca have to be a logia type? we talking about the gladiator chick right?. and enel is not a astronomer, hes just a op logia devil fruit, which every crew needs. brooks a comedian(tries). everybody in the crew dances. franky is a scientist. hes perfected transformations when vegapunk couldnt so dont say he only uses vegapunk blueprints.
its justifiable to pick up jimbie, enel, or any other logia user as far as a i can see. nothing else seems to add to what the strawhats are

Thanks guys, i'm seeing a lot of ideas I never thought of. Though I don't think Enel will join the crew. As to the Logia, personally I think the will of D is what enables a person to have 2 devil fruit power. I think Luffy will learn how it works and eat Ace's fruit, so then they will have their Logia.

Enel will comeback with knowledge of astronomy and join the crew as their astronomer

give 3 examples and i dont want to hear astronomer or writer, if those count as valid things than almost anything does and pirate crews just dont need them. example:scientist, physicist, shoe shiner, farmer, animal tamer( this ones actually not that bad since we have seen one in a crew before). what else benefits every crew.... restroom attendent... walmart cashier. mailman( again i kind of like this one cus a crew might need that one guy that is sort of their ambassadore type like rockstar for shanks.)

Well, my choice for a writer is because it would be great having someone write the SHs' story as they continue their journey. It makes sense to have someone like that, and it would be an interesting dynamic with the crew, if the character is done right.

But as for positions regarding the ship, there's obviously the helmsman, the one who steeres the ship. That's mostly done by Franky, but we've seen Jinbe do it, so I think that will be his designed position. Cabin boy is availabe. That would go to a younger member, if one were to join. Like Shanks and Buggy on Roger's ship. A lookout, but that is already being half assed occupied by Zoro. There are many positions availabe, but if they're going to fill the entire list, there will be too many main characters.

For me, I think what ever their job/role, SH crew really need another girls.. Beside Nami and Robin

In the SH crew they really don't use titles, lets say Oda had Vivi join way back in the Alabasta arc, she wouldn't fill any traditional pirate crew spots. She would have been a princess, Luffy has whoever he likes join the crew. The SH crew is filled up with people Luffy befriends and joins him, who happen to be able to have a skill their good at. They may not be the best person to fill the job but their good enough for Luffy
