Dude you have to stop relying on CNN's propaganda and do your own research when interested in a country. e.g my whatsapp is international(60% of Indian of course =D ) because when I am interested in a country I ask its people not watch media

How is the government failing with the refugee crisis? How are the refugees being treated? Are they not integrating well?

Well, first, our government basically "opened the doors" and let everyone in, even without any legit information about their identities. The result of this is: We have had about 130.000 refugees in February that went missing after their registration in Germany, we have no idea if they are still in our country or if they moved to another one using another name to get as much money from different countries as possible. And these are only the official numbers, the real amount of people is probably even higher.

Next thing is, ISIS-supporters and -recruiters have invaded Germany and other european counties in disguise of refugees, which makes the whole situation even more dangerous.

Also, Germany has lots of "refugee-camps" and is bulding so called "temporary bungalow-villages" for refugees in rural places, where these people only live among each other, which is the complete opposite of integration if you ask me.

How is the government failing with the refugee crisis? How are the refugees being treated? Are they not integrating well?

Don't know if this changed by now but when the crisis started, the refugees had to live under horrible circumstances in little tents with barely any food, warmth etc. Also the government of the country forces the refugees on the cities, without taking into consideration wether or not they can actually handle them. They literally decide over the cities' head, and then the federal states have to figure out, what to do with the sheer number of refugees. This had lead to incidents, where villages with less than 1k inhabitants received 4k refugees without knowing where to put them.

In fact, the administration admitted a while ago, that they lost track of about 500k refugees, not knowing who they are, where they came from or where they put them. It's a total failure.
EDIT: My bad, it was only 130k refugees according to official statements, but the real number is probably much higher.

Of course the people are pissed about such sloppy handling, but the government doesn't care, which is exactly why right-wing parties like the AFD are growing stronger and stronger.
