Many know what Edo Tensei Army is. The fact or reason for another ( or similar) is the reevaluation of the Edo Tensei Technique. The Technique itself is not completed as Kabuto or Orochimaru may have said. The reason Orochimaru maybe have not completed Edo Tensei (and was still probably doing research on it) because he wanted to bring back his Clan. In order to do that, he probably wanted to limited the restrictions placed by deciding whom he could retrieve from the Impure World, instead of being restricted because of the soul moving on or binding by human form.

It could be the reason why he needed Rinnegan to combine the Rinne Tensei Technique and Edo Tensei to perform a much stronger Revival Technique without restrictions. It is just a theory. Not really much detail.

i think it could be a scroll on how to become the snake sage. so maybe just like naruto, sasuke will become a sage as well. perhaps thats why orochimaru wanted sasuke that bad aside from his eyes of course

Possibly related to Orochimaru and Kabuto's research into the Rinnegan. Didn't Suigetsu comment in shock at how far Orochimaru had gotten? Maybe there's something beyond the Rinnegan like the 9-tomoe Rinnegan, lol. Though is a Sasuke power up enough to affect the 4th Great Ninja War...? Idk :shrug:

IWR/ET is going to get shut down by the Uchiha brothers it appears, so I don't think it'll be that. Albeit it could have something to do with Fuuinjutsu or genetic manipulation...; however, they're not really Sasuke's style... I really can't say, given how little info we were given.

I do think it will lead to an Uchiha Sasuke power up though... Thus, I think it has to do with doujutsu research as my top guess. They really didn't give us much info. On purpose, of course, lol.

Well you got the six paths of pain and then Nagato was secretly the 7th one. The 7th path also called the outer path which granted him the shared vision and also the possibility to reserruct people with the king of hell (that head which could heal the other paths).

He didnt have it but sharingan evolves into a rinnegan right? the scroll has the secrets on how to evolve it. I dont think it needs senju blood? lol its perfect because it will put him on narutos level.

The way Suigetsu talked about it, "He even considered something like this?" means that it's not something they were expecting. It won't be something obvious. OF COURSE Orochimaru was considering a bunch of snake techniques. That's not a surprise to anybody.

If it was just another stupid snake technique, Suigetsu would have said "Oh look, another stupid snake technique. This is worthless now, because Sasuke doesn't use snakes any more."

The technique on that scroll is something big because it has the ability to turn the tide of war. It is something unexpected, because Suigetsu was surprised by it. That means it wasn't something like Orochimaru's regular techniques. I don't know what it is, but I do know that it's not just another big snake.

It has to be something really powerful, powerful enough to gain control over the war. Suigetsu also said that it'd be a good present for Sasuke, which makes me come up with a conclusion that it's Eye technique or the secret of how to awaken rinnegans. Otherwise, Suigetsu wouldn't give it to Sasuke.

Orochimaru apparently knew Tobi's plans (or at least pieces of it) that it surprised or even shocked him.

Orochimaru has always been the sinister scheming-type who likes to keeps things under his control. My guess is that Orochimaru saw through Tobi's plan and did research to find some sort of trump card that would keep the ball in his court. It's either some kind of loophole in the Edo Tensei or something about the Rinnegan
