[Discussion] What Contributions Have Hiruzen Made?

This is not a bash or a wank thread, I am just curious what contributions has Hiruzen made to the village and the shinobi world as Sandaime?

Hashirama helped founded Konohagakure and therefore founded the village system, he also balanced the powers by dividing the bijuu.

Tobirama is responsible for creating multiple Jutsu and creating the village's infrastructure.

Minato stopped Obito and sealed the kyuubi

Tsunade saved a lot of people's lives during the Pain invasion. (Sucks that they would have been revived anyway though) She also is leading the Shinobi alliance.

So Hiruzen has had the longest term as Hokage, but can someone enlighten me as to what all he has accomplished in his term.

That was afterward. According to the anime it was after that that Danzo was stripped of his authority over Anbu. Hiruzen is the Hokage so he took responsibility, but Danzo approached Itachi alone.

So in other words with the exception of letting Danzo run wild he was the ideal teacher/ father figure/ role model for multiple generations

Indeed he protected the village by stopping his student that he let escape so long ago. Dying while protecting the village is truly the most honorable death for a Hokage.

Well, he did end the invasion of Konoha by sealing Oro's arms

I don't think much of his reign was planned out at all honestly. He is the lowest in comparison to the other Hokages.

He weeded out the Uchiha and made Itachi beg in the face of true power.

In his prime, he was feared by everyone, and this prevented all out direct attacks on Konoha.

For example, Hanzo didn't kill the Sannin because he was scared Hiruzen would be angered. Hanzo also didn't invade Konoha because Hiruzen lived in it.


As The Professor, he taught many ninjutsu, genjutsu and taijutsu. He was a master educator.
