it's not really Sasuke's fault that Sakura personally took it upon herself to keep Karin in the dark about something she wanted answers to. Even if someone in Salad's situation was too young to be informed of it when during her first several yrs of life, she still could've been informed of it after she at least turned 7. Sakura was there and she alone decided to continue beating around the bush about it. It's because of Sakura that Salad took it upon herself to leave the village and find out the truth for herself in the first place, not Sasuke.
It's not that she was beating around the bush, if she really wanted to hide it from Sarada she wouldn't have pictures of Sasuke and Karin in her house though concealed. Sarada only asked her about her dad, she never asked if Sakura was her real mom untill now. That said as Sakura is her guardian she would be the one to decide when it's time for her to know the truth. You can't be casual about not being someones real parent when they were raised to believe it their whole lives.
It can be traumatic so you gotta be careful with it, again this could all be avoided if Sasuke and Karin raised their daughter but they are failures as parents. In reality, they have no business calling themselves her parents.

True, however is indeed Sasuke´s fault Sarada´s need to figure out "why daddy isn´t here? why daddy doesn´t care for me". His absolute lack of care in regards to her what was created the issue in the first place.

But there you have NB mental gymnastics, Sakura will be deemed the only one at fault -as always-, while Sasu´s fanboys condone and celebrate any stupid/disgusting/inmature/all of the above thing he does. How people can´t see how badly this relfects on him is incredible (heck even Naruto got rustled... no wonder Salad hates daddy in Boruto´s movie, truly there´s nothing to love him for as a parent -especially when we consider Sasu ends up caring more for Boruto than for her-)

Salad didn't literally ask if Sakura was her birth mother, but it was basically what she was getting at by asking Sakura if Sasuke ever wore glasses. The thing to it was, she had that fake wedding photo framed in a way to was meant to conceal the fact that there was a female in that picture who wore glasses like she did, and Sakura basically decided to play stupid when she was confronted about it.

the only time there might be a great reason for a parent to lie or stretch the truth is if the kid ask how babies are made or if the biological parent was involved in something particularly bad. Seeing as though neither was the case, there was no real reason to keep the truth from Salad other than Sakura being afraid of how Salad would react.

to be clear, i'm not absolving Sasuke of being an absent parent. Conversely, i don't see the point in blaming him for something Sakura decided to do. She was with her for over 10 yrs, so the call was basically on her to make as to whether she was ever going to tell Salad the truth or not.

Because during her earliest years she needs the comfort of having a parent close to her even if she's not her biological one. She could've told Sarada and probably would once she went through her teenage years. Sakura beating around the bush is reflected back on Sasuke and Karin's lack of responsibility.
if it wasn't appropriate for Salad to know at that point in time, then Sakura could've just said "i'll tell you when you're older" or something to that effect. It isn't really appropriate for a parent to outright lie or deceive their kid anymore than it is for a kid to do the same to the parent.

If Sakura said "I'll tell you when you're older, that would cause alot of suspicion and she wouldn't be able to grow up like a normal child. Also this is way more important and dangerous to blurt out than telling your kid how babies are made. That stuff is normal, it's just the small shame associated that makes the whole thing awkward but it's nothing compared to saying you're not their real parents. Look at Sarada in this chapter, would she have been that shocked to know how babies were made? Hell no.
