[Discussion] what character had the craziest background story?

Naruto, Sasuke, Itachi, Nagato, Orochimaru, Madara, Hashirama, Tobirama, Gaara,Kimmimaru,Neji
Obito(lol), Kabuto(lol).
might have missed someone... but

bonus (just in case you forgot):
haku- his father killed his mothe after finding out they possessed a kekki genkai after trying to kill haku as well haku ended up using his ice techniques and killing his father. then being an orphan finding the likes of zabuza to use him as a tool

kakashi- father killed himself being ridiculed by shinobi for not following the mission and rather saving his teamates
leaving kakashi alone to grow up with a strict upbringing and only following the rules, then ends up watching his teamate supposedly die and later having to kill the other.

Iruka- having his parents killed by the very same fox spirit that inhabits naruto he musters up his strenght and accepts naruto as a different being


from 1-5 which shinobi had it the worst?????

personally i think sasuke's background story is sadder compared to that of naruto. Naruto lost his parents when he was just born...he doesn't know what a parent's love is all about. But sasuke knows what being loved by parents means, and he saw his parents along with the entire clan killed right in front of his eyes by his very own elder brother whom he looked upon and admired. So naturally that pain is on a whole different level compared to the pain of naruto or even gaara. And the craziest background is that of itachi....i mean he suffered from trauma after witnessing the 3rd shinobi war, he had an outlook of a hokage when he was 7, he became an anbu black-ops captain at the age of 13 and he slaughtered his entire clan to protect the village and his brother. I mean for someone to think that far and make such a major sacrifice, live the life of a villain from such a young age and still protecting the village from the shadows is really something........no-one in his age would possibly want to experience that kind of a life......

this is so well thought out and true i mean naruto later gets a bond like tht with jaraiya and its gotta hurt naruto to have not even know he had parents i mean what the hell did they tell him happened to his mom and dad, and gaara ended up killiing the one guy he loved which was his uncle who tried to assassinate him thats gotta mess up your mind
