That was before he was being sealed and he misinterpreted the Hogyoku's intentions. He thought he didn't need a Zanpakuto anymore which was why it was disappearing, when it was actually the Hogyoku that rejected him. So nope, he didn't fuse with Kyoka Suigetsu
