Out of all of them, the anime has to be the worst. She awkwardly tries to bring up how nice his eyes look while Mitsuki patronizes her.
Sumire outright said she's interested in him and asked if any girls were going after him. To which they both replied that he's popular with everyone.

Blushing is a normal reaction und it doesn't change the fact he suffers from some disease. Even Sakura blushed when she thought Naruto was acting cool it means nothing and doesn't affect the deformity.
