I think the OP is asking why the Kusanagi was unable to perce the Kyuubi cloak when it had as much hype as it did yet Kakashi's lightning chain cut the other jins arms off.

Yeah I have been wondering about that two! Orochimaru was hurt from so much as touching Kyubi Naruto and yet there are no problems fighting them here and know XD Lighting does have a stronger cut strength, but I don't know much about the special sword of Orochimaru's XD

Well V2 is said to be the power of a Bijuu in human form right? Perhaps a mini Kyuubi was simply more powerful than the V2 bijuu Kakashi and Guy fought.

You do realize that the Kyubbi is supposed to be a lot more powerful than the other bijuu right?

Also Orochimaru's sword was just made of metal while Kakashi's was made out of pure lightning chakra refined to its utmost limits. Orochimaru also used his head to stab the Kyubbi so his attack had less force than Kakashi's who was using twice his strength due to the shadow clones.
