What are your thoughts on the Bergdahl Scenario?

So how do you feel about the situation?

I'm personally displeased with the Government's handling of this situation(particularly Pres. Obama), and find it had to believe they didn't hear that he had deserted

To be honest? I don't care, and I honestly think people are blowing this way out of proportion. But I guess that's what to be expected from the U.S.

He made an idiotic decision deserting. He committed to the U.S. Army and then walked out on them in personal quest. So self-righteous.

^ That's my opinion on how it started.

The Army then allegedly looked for him, costing the lives of several soldiers along with other resources, because this one guy walked out on everyone else. He was captured at some point, and imprisoned for 5 years. Who knew how much his views changed in that time, wether it be him or anyone else, it was definitely a tough experience.

I think getting him back alive was the right thing to do, but his full and complete story should be made public so everyone can form their own opinions on it. What he initially did was wrong, but it's more than certain he went through hell the past 5 years, and if he's any sort of decent person, he's now busy regretting all the lives he's costed of people putting their lives on the line for him.
