Shizuma is just pathetic copy of Kisame.

Kisime was badass and he knew it. But he also knew about rock paper scissors and knew when he was outmatched. He knew he needed to personally avoid Jiraya; shows he gathered intel on his enemies and developed strategies and knew the his chakra absorbing techniques would actually doom him if Jiraya went sage mode. Even folks more lauded as geniuses miss the stoning ability of mishandled nature energy, but Kisime recognized it. And all that what just a single throw away line of Kisime saying he wasn't a good match for Jiraya... conveys so much so quickly. Gotta love it.

His death and nerf pissed me off, he was cool and I was expecting him to solo and kill quite a few lead characters. InfiniteMugen and Jiren mentioned he was the truest shinobi.

At first I liked Zabuza more when the whole Zabuza vs Kisame thing was a thing. that being said I like Kisame more now that have information about him.

Kisame is awesome and likely the most loyal villain and possibly person in the Narutoverse to a affiliation that being Akatsuki or more precisely, the Eye of the Moon plan.
