I personally hate the.concept of destiny and fate for four reasons.
1. If everything or every important thing you do is predetermined, then there is no true point in living.

2. If I fail, that means I was chosen to fail, that something CAUSED me to fail other than myself.

3. If I succeed, then what? Do I owe my success to some force? Did I have nothing to do with it?

4. If one's success or failure is chosen, then why do some deserve being chosen and others don't? If I was chosen to succeed and you were chosen to fail, where is the justice in that? Why couldn't it be vice versa?

So, in a nutshell, I hate destiny because it takes out the control we have over our own lives.

What are your feelings and opinions on destiny?

I feel like there is no layout to life. We do what is what we do. I agree.

Life is a series of choices. Every choice leads to an alternate timeline. Your current consciousness is a result of a series of choices. If different choices are made. different outcome, different timeline.

Pretty much nailed that one. If one's date predetermined then you could just stop trying and it'll all work out -.-!

The whole concept of destiny ain't the way you picture it.

There is no point in living. You live your life and die, Thats it.

I believe fate and free-will are one in the same. Our choices of our "free-will" determine our "fate". But, it was "fate" that we had chosen that certain decision through our "free-will". It's confusing at first but I think it starts to make sense. That was just the tip of the iceberg, I could right a whole essay on that stuff.

Sounds to me like you're just wasting your life instead of doing something with it.

I see what you mean. Fate doesn't control what choices we make, our choices control our fate. I like this ideal.

I believe that you are the one who will choose your own destiny...that's it.

I am about 20% phosphor and 80% just logic.

To try and expand my imagination on if the universe came into being due to the big bang, then what makes a force a force? Why was only a quantity of matter and energy made in the universe and not an infinite amount, I use the concept of destiny to say "everything has a reason". But on the other hand I just like to try and sit in the dark about this stuff and focus on something a bit more 'in the light', hoping I can find something useful out of that "e.g. string theory, etc".

Yes, of course I do! Did I mentioned that I'm an old gypsy woman? I will summon the power of the spirits & they will tell me what lies in your futures, here you go:

#Emo
#Depressed
#Annoying
#MoodKiller
#Hashtag

That's a really good sentence. I like it.
You are destined to be banned repeatedly for no reason.

You are destined to be a successful motivational speaker.

#Worsethanscum.
You are destined to be a banana.

The spirits have spoken, enjoy your destinies.

Some factors are predetermined of course, but the rest is up to us...though the past cannot be altered so we can say that if something happened, that had to happen that way...
