[Discussion] What Are Your Main Gripes With Anime & Manga

IV. guys being afraid of women. i mean no wonder japan is full of a generation that doesn't want to breed. its less cliche now but it use to be more extreme, guys looking away or being afraid of seeing a woman naked. ive never met any male like that, i understand it shows respect but ive seen it so badly done in anime, smh....chicks literally throwing themselves at these guys, its just unrealistic but it doesnt have to be. just annoying for me to watch

V. females physically abusing males. when i first got into anime it was funny and cute, as i watched more and more i realized it happens in most and is annoying. i feel like its trying to say its okay for a female to hit a male for whatever reason, which is btchy stigmatic garbage. i mean theyll literally beat the shit out of them for making a joke, or just abuse them for seeing them naked, which a lot of the time is by mistake. its not right, nobody has the right to put their hands on another person like that and its rarely ever funny and just makes most female characters look like btches

Honestly, lately I've been the most annoyed by anything that makes the story predictable. Sometimes I start reading a manga that looks nice, but then I realize that it uses the same basic plot that many others I've already read. For example, the MC gets some superpower, then it turns out there are more people with superpowers, they recruit the MC, etc.

Honestly I am used to everything the anime world dishes at me. I share the same opinion as that Richard guy. Anime is just another form of entertainmemt for me. I see no reason of hating on stuff I am already used to. Besides there is a reason I would give anime more preference over american cartoons. Its cause they know how to make shit cooler. Like take the Superhero adaption of anime in My hero Academia and One Punchman. These two anime have given me Superheros I can actually enjoy. The sheer animation and soundtracks used in these two shows make me wank the series hard. In american cartoons you will never see that.

As far as the other cliches mentioned in this thread like the power of friendship or over sexualizing females. Honestly in any concept of fiction these two things are acceptable because they are not real. Call me weird or something but I actually dig the moments when power of friendship is used. Cause I feel emotions for your loved ones can really push you that hard in anything you wanna do. Its very relatable to me as a person.
