Good characters develop trought a series. Great characters mantain you fascinated with them their entire journey. So, from the two most populars and main characters of this series, which stage/version/form of Uzumaki Naruto and Uchiha Sasuke was your favorite?
Mine personally from Naruto would be his twelve year old self, a.k.a. "Classic Naruto"
Naruto's naïveté, goofiness and need to bond with everyone that he meet, while bothers me on a 17 year old dude is downright endearing on a loud mouth 12 year old.
He was a little slow and kinda annoying, but the childlike honesty and passion on his speeches was what sold to me Zabuza's and Gaara's TnJ, something that did not happenned with Obito's. His "going to bring you back even if I have to break every bone of your body" speech to Sasuke made me tear eyed back on the day. He is that bratty younger brother who you want to punch when he is screaming at you but deep down is proud of him, because he have a potential to change the world.
And from Sasuke:
Hebi. F*cking. Sasuke.
Who else? That was the time were Sasuke was a boss. A cold, strategist boss. While Nauto came back from his training with a bigger rasengan, Sasuke was owning shit back and forth with a wicked katana, tons of chidori variants and a badass cursed seal. That time his "avenger attitude" was still somewhat justified, since he was aiming to kill his psicopath brother, but even so he did not became a slave to Orochimaru or a straight villain, taking him down when he was weak and being merciful when he could. And he used to think during battles. He did not just rushed in. Deidara vs Sasuke is still one of my favorite fights because of this: he did not just rushed in spamming his techniques when he was that aweful MS Sasuke against Danzo. This Sasuke was conniving, he used his freaking brains.
