[Discussion] What are your expectations of the soul king?

I assume that by the way things are going we will finally see more of the mysterious soul king

What do you guys will be like? Will he be good but powerless? Will he step in to fight the quincy? maybe he dosen't care about anything? or maybe he is the type of guy who isin't really siding with anyone? or maybe he will side withe quincy? or maybe he is the real evil like aizen said?

What role do you think the soul king will play in bleach manga? Will his contribiution to the manga be absolutly epic?

Or will he be a goofy disoppointment like the sage of six paths was in naruto? I really hope he is nothing like the sage of six paths in naruto. That would be so anti climatic and awful

I am assuming the soul king is some scrawny kid just to add to the unpredictability of it all. Would be pretty gay if he's just another old ass ***** sitting in the chair for the last 10000 years. All I care for right now is Shinsui's Bankai..

That would be a great way to troll one of the most anticipated characters in bleach....and knowing kubo that might actually happen. I sure hope that he dosent troll aizen sama the same way kishimoto trolled oruchimaru. That would be simply too much...

It will be explained why he is the lynchpin that holds SS together (I think it's because he has the power to create souls), and why Aizen wanted to overthrow him. Yhwach will most likely kill SK and take his place.

I don't really see what could Soul King do at this point, except for loosing to Yhwach. He will either be defeated by Yhwach or he will be villain, but if he is villain that would be pure BS, it's way to late to introduce new villain.

Also, SK don't have any power hype. Aizen actually believed that he could take him down.

I don't think the soul king will be defeated. I think we already know that yhwach is the main villain. Arguing that by him killing the soul king it will make him the final villain is not relevant. Either way he is a major villain irregardless of whether or not he is able to kill the soul king.

Killing the soul king would make seireitei cease to exist. If yhwach is successful...the manga would end on an evil conclusion.

Not saying that's not likely. It could be the intention to end it on an evil ending. Just saying that either way yhwach is the major villain.

My expectations aren't too high.
Both Urahara and Aizen pegged the Soul King as "it" and sth that needed for holding together the Soul Society.
Bet the Soul King has little intelligence/insight.
