Typical. Even in the gaming community healers get called weak because they don't excell in fighting. But without Sakura/Kabuto/Tsunade all the Kage, hundreds of alliance ninja, Sasuke and Naruto would be dead. And they saved them with healing.

Not everyone can be born with special chakra or exceptional battle prowess. Some excell in keeping other's alive.

OT: as to why Sasuke didn't learn medical jutsu? Sasuke isn't a healer. He's an avenger who focused and excelled in offense. His chakra control was nowhere near Sakura's through most of the manga. Not really until around EMS/Rinnegan is when he excelled in chakra control. Plus he isn't an egg head nor does he have extensive medical knowledge of the human body.

The real question is, why wasn't Hinata a medical NIN. Her personality, Hyuga's naturally excel in chakra control. And a little study of human anatomy and she might have even surpassed Sakura in this field or at least have been a true rival.

Being a real Sasuke fan means wishing the best for him not wanting him to not learn an important jutsu just cuz it "doesn't fit him".

It doesn't matter how Sasuke looks, plus he doesn't care about that, his character isn't exactly the type you find running to another's aid to heal them in the battlefield, it's more the type that can take the hit without even realizing he needs medical attention.... And keep fighting....

all joking aside, the reason most people like Sasuke or many other powerful ninja don't become Medical Nin is because chakra is a limited resource.

When choosing what type of ninja you want to be, considering how your disperse your chakra plays probably the biggest role. Do you consider yourself as a support-type person who would hang back and help others during a battle? or are you a battle-type of person?

think about the categories that were created during the war for different shinobi regimes. Each shinobi has a specialty and healing, though possible if learned, isn't worth the risk reward for powerful ninja types who tend to battle
