Naruto's current mindset wouldn't make for a good Kage. He's still too headstrong, and not quick to think first before taking action....

Itachi- Highly intelligent, natural pacifist but can also make the hard decisions for the sake of peace, be it diplomacy or war. (The Shinobi world isn't supposed to be completely virtuous, they need the Danzo'esque type of people in order to survive), extremely powerful and knowledgeable of the clans in the Land of Fire including his own, always levelheaded and doesn't allow his own feelings interfere with the greater good.

shikaku.. imo had everything to be an amazing hokage BUT the power :| he certainly is strong, but only jounin level strong. character trains imo for a fitting hokage would be trustworthy, strong, hardworking, intelligent.

Sasuke for hokage...na but seriously Kakashi would've been a pretty decent Hokage. He may not be as smart as Shikaku but he's strong and the hokage is meant to be for the strongest ninja in the village.

Kakashi is a well balanced ninja(an allrounder) who knows basically all techniques(except KKGs and forbidden ones).

lol i just put her down for a couple of reasons
1. she will be in charge of medical division of konoha after shizune
2. shes part of naruto team like how the elders were in hiruzens
3. shes naggy as hell she won't be able to keep her loud mouth shut.

not only that he is extremely powerful to protect the village, but he also cares for his clan and everyone and wants peace. he is also smart, who knows when the time is right to act.

You know if Shikamaru was not there she would be the smartest in the k11. She and shikamaru are tops for the brains my friend. She will be taking the medical division under her rule i'm sure anyways.

Kakashi is well rounded, he's not THAT strong but he is a quick thinker and he has a balanced arsenal of techniques that would be suited to face most opponents. Also great leadership skills.

No, he's rash in most situations, and is ruled by impulse and emotion which is actually a detriment as much as it's a benefit to Konoha... Naruto's only BATTLE INTELLIGENT. That's the reason that he's the Number 1 Hyperactive Knucklehead Ninja after all.
