Doubtful.. They're pirates after all. It is unlikely that they would work collaboratively towards the same goal. Especially considering Teach is a Yonko who wants to find the One Piece himself, he'd use the clues on the Poneglyph to find it, not help protect it.

Not sure if those things can be moved. But it would be a smart strategy since they're indestructible.

People are bound to look for the them or find them. So placing them on the islands of 4 rivaling yonkou pretty much guarantees that nobody can read them all, not even the yonkou themselves. In exchange the WG could make a deal with the yonkou that they would leave them alone just like shichibukai if they protect the stone.

That would be cool, but I don't think that will be the case.

The poneglyph are conveniently placed on Nico Robin's path for the sake of this story ending before 2064

Can't you make the case that all the poneglyphs the yonkou have are in her path. Luffy wants to take down all the yonkou so going to their main island doesn't seem unlikely.

Why do people make it seem that getting 'One Piece' is some sort of a tournament played between many players and one has to overcome every other player to become 'Pirate King'...

Luffy's chasing 'One Piece', a mythical treasure, most probably located on an island(Raftel) near impossible to reach.
Luffy can go straight to Raftel if he can, and he'll fight only those who gets in his way and he may fight none if no one gets in his way which definitely isn't happening...

OT:
Ridiculous...

Luffy said he plans on taking down all the yonkou. Not only that but we don't know the way to get to Raftel. For all you know the nature of the path to Raftel will require all the top contenders to fight.

Hmm, fair point but that still comes from the fact that one either lives under a Yonko or becomes a Yonko, implying Luffy can't just sail freely amidst all Yonko territories and gets to Raftel, they'll certainly get to him once he get deep enough in the 'New World' so it's a necessary battle. And yet he has already challenged one, one on his trail and Teach trying his best to get 'One Piece' before anyone else...

And Raftel seems to be an island beyond seas impossible to navigate, that's why no one /Roger got even close to it. And only a pure 'D' can manage this feat, probably something related to 'Voice of all Things'. But that doesn't require wins, just freedom to sail on those seas...

Right, the freedom to sail those seas lies in defeating those stopping you. Raftel should be located at the end of the grand line. It might be a thing like fish man island where you can't pass unless you have the way, but at the least their is a general direction where people know where to search for raftel. I don't think it is as easy as just finding it because no doubt yonkou have subordinates searching in those areas.
