What are some unalienable rights that the U.S. has broken? I'd say amendment 1 has been broken to a certain degree. When you speak out about something heavy that goes against the government and is true, you a persecuted in a way by the government. Persecution is worse than slaughter. Any comments? Opinions?

Our right to vote has been compromised (not sure if you would count this as being unalienable), because due to Citizens United, corporations are people, and they and the rich leaders can pay for campaign contributions of senators in return for policies the rich leaders want passed. In other words, our senatorial votes don't really matter.

Of course killing black people is one of the main problems but if I said that someone would pop up and say I'm playing the race card or this is. A thread for black people etc. honestly for me that's probably one of the biggest if not the biggest problem in America. Taking a life and having no remorse, sorrow, or apology for it. They don't even ****ing apologize but it wouldn't mean anything anyway. I used the Muslim imam because it was an obvious no briander the president himself ordered for him to be drone striked. That has never been an inalienable right. In the context of US law, there is no right to secession of land, only the right to leave the country.

OT: Natural rights include life, liberty, and property, yet gay people only just got the right to marry in all 50 states. We can go through many facets of society where the rights of an individual are inalienated because of their race, sexual preference, or gender make-up. Funnily enough, it's not the federal government that are trampling these rights, it's businesses and other institutions. Somehow they take precedence over the inalienable rights of people, because somewhere along the line, someone co-opted those rights to pretain to anything that doesn't include the government.

So whenever I hear a libertarian or Conservative complaining about how businesses can't discriminate, I call bullshit.

As for the freedom of businesses to discriminate, donald sterling was forced to sell the clippers for some stuff he said in his own home. So the infringement of freedom goes both ways as long as it doesn't involve gov't
