Alot of ab workouts will be hard on your back, just try to flex your abs during the workout to relieve some stress on the back. I do elevated crunches with a 25lb weight on my chest, followed by a hole routine on the ground

here is a tip.. im only sixteen but it works..
i got a six pack doing this
1. stop full sit ups.. just do crunches
2. do jumping jacks.. those strech your lower abs
3. a shit lot of bicycling..
4. NO weights, try pull ups.. those are very effective
5. eat green vegatbels and shit lot of water..

make sure you do cardio as well so you can get the thin layer of fat off around your abs
even if your skinny you most likely have a thin layer of fat
do ab excercise to make your ab muscles bigger and cardio to get the fat off
you might actually have good ab muscles it just can't be seen under fat
try jumping jacks for cardio

here it is, this is stage one: burning belly fat

after this combine burst cardio with weight training and it should do the trick...

normal cardio and direct ab work outs with out a combonation of others like weight training is ineffective..

free weights and bar bell is most prefered (tho im only telling you the first stages, it's your choice if you want to get buffed up)

i can't find the video that includes barbell exercise
