Every villain in naruto has had a motive to go evil
Obito crush died
Orochimaru Parents died became, obsessed with forbidden jutsu's
Sasuke Entire clan died, his brother was forced to kill the clan
It seems like madara has no motives other than being power hungry ?
What do you guys think is motive is ?
Honestly I think he's just power hungry. Final bosses rarely have emotionally compelling reasons. We're SUPPOSED to hate this guy. He manipulated a wounded child and tried to take over the world. Why does he need a "good reason"? It's almost better if we don't have a flashback making us warm up to Madara.
If he has a reason, it's probably because he's buttmad that Hashirama beat him back in the day and he didn't get to become Hokage. He feels the clan betrayed him by exiling him instead of choosing rebellion. His brother sacrificed his eyes for the good of the village, and he probably feels that is cheapened by the clan's decision to not seize power from what he believes are the inferior Senju. His true motives are likely to become the new 6 paths and conquer humanity by living as an immortal, unquestionable God that far surpasses Hashirama, Naruto and every other character.
With Edo body, he'd arguably be stronger than the Sage of the 6 paths himself, since he'd have Juubi Jinchuuruki status, Rinnegan, EMS Sharingan and a body that cannot age or die and has nearly unlimited chakra
I was going to try answer the OP's until I saw this post, it tells us so much about Madara and why he turned out the way he did if you did not know it already that it made me question my own theory. I can see how he might have felt back then and why he chose to do things his own way but I believe he just went about things the wrong way.
The way I see it is that Madara tried to change the world on his own and still is, what his failed to realise is everyone needs to work together to make the world a better place. He thinks that he can change the world on his own but the truth is he cannot. His got Obito on his side but even so, I believe that to change the world you need collaboration betweenn everyone and not just two people.
He's done a lot more to make the world a better place than Naruto has. Naruto's a hypocritical, naive child. And by the way he was trying to go it alone too until Bee set him straight.
