What allows me to believe the namikazes were weak if at least goofballs.

Minatos son naruto acts goofy and probably only got chakra from kushina so I believe that the namikazes act foolish and were probably wiped out.
I mean imagine naruto without ninetails as a kid?

Naruto gains most of his personality from Kushina. He only inherited his looks from Minato.

Also, we don't even know if the Namikaze is a clan. Much like Haruno or Hatake, it might just be a family name and nothing more than that.

HAHAHAHA I was thinking upon reading it, "Just look at Naruto"! Though...Naruto does have a lot of Kushina's personality..may explain what happened to them too!

One of the Namikaze's forgot to turn the oven off after using it.

The next day was tragic for Minato who was the only survivor...

I'm meaning that naruto only got his vast chakra reserves from kushina and that quirk "ya know"
Naruto is goofy and I heard that you inherit your dads last name not your mothers >_>
Naruto is foolish and is leaving me to believe that konohomaru is a namikaze.

Yeah, because Minato was DEFINITELY one of the dumbest and most foolish characters, wasn't he? It was stated Minato got his personality from his mother, and ninjutsu.

we know nothing about namakazes but that the fourth hokage was a genius and a beast so i don't know wat u talking about he got his goofyness from kushina and i don't think uzamakis were goofy either the got destroyed but we don't know why or by who is still a mystry but naruto father was far from goofy

idk about the fodder haruno family but Hatake is a clan, they're known for their white hair. ( I made up the white hair part but hatake is an actual clan :D)
