they were good at ninjutsu, genjutsu and taijutsu. overall they were considered to be pretty good. if u look at it uchihas were also good overall but i guess senju had a lot of powerful ninjutsu techniques and taijutsu

They were obviously as strong as Uchihas. But I don't think they had as unique tech as Hashirama had..

well at that time i think only izuna and madara had ms and others had just plain sharigan so its not that hard to win against sharigan

so it would come down to two op chacters from senju vs Uchiha and and then plain sharigan vs sage body

when the uchiha and senju were fierce rivals, only madara and izuna had ms, the rest were sharingan users (which while hard, is not impossible to fight against). then Madara took izuna's eyes, so it's just one ms user, who hashirama was superior to. Not only that, the uchiha lost a fighter equal to Madara, and Tobirama would cream any run of the mill uchiha.

the senju were masters of all skills, plus it seems they have beast strength and stamina. so it's kind of like how naruto can compete equally with sasuke.
