Tell me what it is that is most important to you in terms of values.
What standards to you hold yourself to and other people?

Id like to follow this ideal

If someone hits my little brother, according to society there is an unwritten right to use violence against that person, id like to be aware enough of what I value at all a times to the point that I chose not to hit the man who hurt my little brother, not because he deserves my mercy, but because every time I chose to do the right thing my self value grows, I dont hurt him because I rather be a better person than act out my "right"...of course it is easier said than done.

thats only one brief example of my philosophy, but i have a lot more that i know i can work on to become a better person, being the best person i can be is what i value, to waste my opportunity to experience and grow would be selfish. I wish to act out gratefulness, bad qualities tend to linger on the surface and i wish to stop shaming my good qualities by no longer letting them be hidden under the surface of who i am.

Id like to be my ideal self, by being my ideal self, not later, but now, in every action i commit id like to see my best qualities

as for other people, to fulfill my goal, id have to, no, i want to. treat others how id like to be treated, I will love because it feels good to be loved, and il avoid hate because it hurts to be hated..once again easier said than done.

What this tells me is that you don't have a clue who you are or what you really want. You're living passively in my opinion.

He clearly stated some of the most important steps that are necessary to spreading inner and outer peace. It's not weakness, but a strength. It's a shame that you judge it as him not knowing who he is. People could learn a lot from perspectives like this.

Don't forget that peace is only achieved if you actually believe in it. Do you believe in peace? Wouldn't this mentality help it be achieved?

No, being a pacifist is no way to live your life. You can believe in peace all you want while someone is raping your mom and has killed your family. You can be cool with it but you have no integrity whatsoever, I wouldn't consider you human because you're supporting it with your inaction. Your mentality prevents you from having a sense of justice, I would never be able to trust anyone like that.

One of my main ones: I try to lead by my actions rather than what I say.

I also judge and hold others to this, though I never tell them. It comes from expecting nothing from anyone, can't believe people's words because they're so fake and hollow most of the time.

My standard is independence, I don't want to rely on anyone and if I do I am constantly working 24/7 untill I get in a position where I no longer need that person or thing. This attitude is reflected in my choice in life, I don't want to work for anyone so I'm starting my own business and I don't want money to ever be a problem so I'm going to become financially free. Freedom and non-attachment is what I want, I also want to give my family a happy and secure future. That's all.

I use to think that way lol You'll learn it's not the best option. Especially if you want to start a business.

But if you're like me nothing anyone says will matter, you'll have to learn on your own.

Of course I understand that it's not possible to become 100% independent. When you need someone they have power over you, I don't want to give up control of my life to someone else. However I understand I must outsource things to leave myself time for other stuff, I'm not stubborn nor am I naive, I get that.

Not what I'm saying, its also not something I can tell you at this stage.

@bold: That is ideal, but if something becomes bigger than you it will be opposite.

I don't even know what you're talking about, there is nothing wrong with doing something yourself if you can do it.

Did I ever say there was anything wrong? But like I said, it's not something you can understand yet. Just something I saw that was funny and wanted to point out.

Values and standards, let's see... My family's happiness and security comes first, of course. I believe Independence is important but I know that I can't get too far on my own. I believe that people who feel too strongly about things are the most dangerous. I try to treat people the way I wanna be treated.

I have a bit of a relatively high standard when it comes to knowledge of the world. I believe that people who choose to have a certain level of ignorance of the things around them (general science, religion, politics, culture) but feel the need to express their opinions are bad people. Unfortunately, this accounts for majority of people.

I try to be humble but once you reach that goal it means you've done the opposite. One day, I'd like to be a person who puts effort into his tasks (I'm insanely lazy) and practice what I preach.
