and are you embarrassed about it now?
So the tense isn't correct. That's what happens I guess when you just copy and paste.
but the symptoms are crystal-clear: if you have about five of them: red alert: you may have been quite the emo.
(a) You symbolically change the color of your hair or fingernails to reflect how mad you are at someone.
(b) Your writing in the last month contains the word “heart” 30% more frequently than it did before.
(c) When you’re upset and feel like breaking something, you calm yourself down by drinking a mug of tea by your windowsill.
(d) You’ve been thinking lately about “the gaps between people” and the void that separates you from everyone else.
(e) You text your ex at one A.M. while drunk and use a bitter fruit metaphor to describe the end of your relationship. They don’t respond and you write a short story about it titled something like “What Went Wrong.”
(f) You agree with this statement: A good word to rhyme with “knife” is “strife.”
(g) When someone’s ignoring you, you decide it’s because they’re just tragically private.
(h) You’ve described yourself as in “a quarter-life crisis” to someone else.
(i) You want to make a piece of art that just reflects the truth. Something that really “cuts to the bone” of “what things are really like.”
(j) Your creative writing teacher describe you as “evocative” and “sincere.”
(k) You’ve recently gained a sizable Internet following of what you suspect are teenage girls.
(l)You’re trying to reference Edgar Allen Poe more in your daily conversations.
(m) I don't know why this wasn't on the list: it could also be your choice of music like if you listen to bands like My Chemical Romance, The Used, Panic! at the Disco, Green Day, etc.
