If the sannin had been present I bet Minato could've survived. :|

If they were a part of the legendary sannin why were not they there. Also why didn't Minato summon lord Gamabunta to help with the nine tails.

Tsunade left Konoha after Dan died, Jiraiya left after Orochimaru got founded out and left Konoha (became a missing nin). Jiraiya already said that he left to keep an eye on Orochimaru and that's when he found out about Akatsuki which he kept an eye on even after Orochimaru left it.

Wasnt Jiraya in the hidden Rain village at that time? Nagato is around Itachi's age? maybe a few years older? It would make sense.

Nah, that was years before when they were still in the war. Nagato is more around Kakashi age (think he's older than Kakashi since the fillers showed Nagato, Yahiko and Konan looking like in their low 20's while Kakashi was still in his teens). Itachi died at like 21 so he was young.

Tsunade left and Jyraiya was a nomad. Probably wasn't anywere near Konoha
