Were Kisame and Itachi "Friends", even at it's lowest definition?

They were the second closest team right after nagato and Konan. Kisame said sorry when everyone thought sasuke was dead and itachi acknowledged that kisame was dead when he saw the samehada with bee. They were at least decent friends.

Ranked teams in terms of friendship

Nagato & Konan
Itachi $ kisame
Obito & zetsu
Sasori & deidara
Kakuzu & hidan

Actually kakuzu and hidan were imo second best in terms of friend ship... They concern they both showed for eachother during their fight with kakashi was actual compassion.. Also they are the only ones that would jokingly insult the other without either one getting really mad.. Yes kakuzu threw that one punch but if it was anyone but hidan he would of killed them also all the warnings kakuzu gave hidan means that he really didnt want hidan to "die"....

All in all i believe they were at heart "friends" more so then itachi and kisame and sasori and deidara
