when I turn on my laptop i dont have a login screen, well I do but its blank. Anyone help?

press Fn+F1 once d blank screen appears ...it puts lappy in sleep mode then after 10-15 sec's press Fn+F1 again ...it will take you to login screen ...
it may be due to ur graphic driver incompatibility with windows 8 ...find compatible graphic driver for win8 n install it..

and the login screen shows up there is no profile to log on. its just blank

Hmm IDK then. I had this happen one time to me and all I did was reset my pc and it was back to working. Try searching around on google or calling the people who made your pc and asking them.

which anti virus r u using currently?

try this ..Start up in safe mode.
Run msconfig
Set it up to run in diagnostic mode
Apply
Ok
restart your system.
Troubleshoot from there.

Get rid of Windows 8 and get Win7 or Debian
