I think itachi is right because izanagi is similar to izanami in a way. As we saw, izanami can be performed by uchihas with no senju DNA. So it's likely that izanagi could be performed without senjud DNA as well.

I think they were both right...Uchiha without Senju DNA can still use Izanagi, but with a lesser time than someone who has both Senju and Uchiha DNA....whereas when you have Senju+Uchiha DNA...you get a boost time as to how long you can use Izanagi.

They're both right. Obito was referring to himself, since he uses a "perfect" Izanagi that can last as long as 10 minutes. Uchiha without Senju genes can use Izanagi for brief moments.

The way i see it, any uchiha can use Izanagi, but only those with Senju dna can use the full version.

Notice that Danzo had 1 minute per sharingan, giving him 10 minutes of izanagi. Obito however had 10 minutes of izanagi with a single eye. Both had Senju dna, but only Obito had a full Uchiha body and stamina.

It's not exactly clear, but that's just my thought.

actually you don't need senju DNA for izanagi. because as i recall izanagi is a sharingan genjutsu, so this means it doesn't require senju DNA to use it.

although to perfect izanagi you need senju DNA.

they are both correct what senju dna does is extend the timelimit so may be obito was refering to improved izanagi or obito was exaggerating it however i dont see a point in telling someone who is about to die.

Also later,Kabuto too stated in the same fight that you need both senju and Uchiha DNA to use the KIN-Jutsus.So........
