So the appearence and abilities of the juubi makes perfect sense after todays chapter.
. When we first seen it, it had a giant bulb on its back, resembling bulbasaur. Then in its second form it was able to act as a medium for Obito's mokuton (Which would be easy since its basically a tree) and used a giant flower to shoot TBBs'.
So its last form that we all thought would be what we seen vs the sage of six paths is really the giant god tree. With the top being a giant eye.
Now kishi has used various mythologies and legends for his story but who would have expected norse mythology in his manga. I think it adds a welcome touch to the story but with the inclusion of the forbidden fruit (christian myths
yes myths) made it seem a little too One piecey to me.
