Obito might play a role in Madara's defeat (if he's still alive), but he's definitely not going to be the one to beat him.

On a side note, I think we're going to see Obito with both eyes in action whether it's through Black Zetsu controlling him and fighting Naruto and/or Sasuke (or maybe someone else), or him overcoming Black Zetsu's control again and fighting Madara. I'm fine either way, as long as a) we get to see Obito with both eyes in action and b) he dies in the end.

Actually, I can see Obito landing the killing blow on Madara, just to keep Naruto's hands clean. Naruto and Sasuke will definitely do most of the work though.

I don't think Obito is going to land the killing blow but I think he will contribute to defeating Madara. Whether Naruto saves Obito's life for saving his or not, Obito still needs to be redeemed. Until Kakashi knows how Madara played Minato's team, Obito is not dying.

Judging by how resilient Obito has been this far, I would say he is biding his time until BZ shows a weakness he can exploit. I think his anger at the fact that Rinn was used just so Madara could turn him to his side will sustain him until he gets the chance to act.

Obito will die after he does something with a bang that will weaken Madara greatly. After that, Madara will be stopped by Naruto and Sasuke will kill him probably.
