After all the euphoria about Naruto and Sasuke, it's worth to mention that Kishi did a good job here, by saving Guy's life. He failed with the way he presented one of the strongest techniques ever, the Eight Gates, by not letting Guy kill his victim with the technique, but now he did the right thing. What do you think about it?

I agree. Dying without making any commendable damage would have made Gai's death look very bad.
