I reckon he will survive for a long time, and defeat Itachi. I for one do not see why they brought Itachi back into the story to kill Kabuto, IMO, its to reveal Kabuto's secret U_U

i dont see it happening , he is about 3 times better at every technique than oro, smarter , tactician and medical ninjutsu to boot , considering he has enhanced tobi he may have enhanced himself with senju DNA and have mokuton etc. and he has edo tensei , i think itachis gonna get slaughtered easy , he can disable itachi in a snap , its gotta be : kitsuchi,darui,ao fighting him

about the fight between itachi and kabuto. if itachi is still an edo wouldn't be easier if kabuto just release itachi from the jutsu.

Kabuto is no easy guy to beat he is smarter then Orochimaru he is more arrogant too but against Itachi or whoever he will give them a run for their money. He isn't stupid like Oro and try a snake attack against Itachi. He will have something planed.

kabuto has grown indeed, but he was powerfull at the start, even oro compared him to kakashi in strength in the beginning of the story.
the main reason we did not see him fight that much was because he was posing as a weak genin and once his cover was blown he wanted to keep his techniques secret because he had to fall back anyway.
the only reason he got beaten by naruto was because of naruto figuring out the way for him to do rasengan during the fight. had kabuto known of that ability from naruto the fight would have ended another way. and even after naruto's rasengan hit he was still supporting oro to fight the other two sanin.
other then that there were no real fights, and now he got oro's tech also plus he took time to addapt to them. he is a smart ninja and I to salute him
but he has to die since he is a badboy and way to dangerous to keep locked up somewhere
