let me guess you think its bad because of the research you have done but im gonna tell you , probably almost 99% of the food you eat a day is more harmful to your body than marijuana......
these words are truth. the ONLY thing bad about weed is that it truly DOES slow down ur brain/thinking a bit and any smoke is bad for ur lungs. but there's no link to cancer from weed, i wrote a paper on this in college after extensive research i could put it up if people want me to... also i have to find it cuz it was several years ago...
i don't smoke anymore but damn, in high school me and the homies would be blazin at breakfast, lunch, dinner, and between every class, and sometimes even during class "teacher i gotta go to the bathroom" lol. and still i was a straight A student in the IB Program (International Baccalaureate, look it up) and a multi-sport athlete. if you smoke weed but still live an otherwise healthy lifestyle--no tobacco/moderate or no alcohol, eat right and exercise, you'll be more than fine.
and the only reason it's classified as "Hallucinogenic" is that it can--especially at high doses/potency--distort your perception, but u don't hallucinate and TRUST me it's nothing like 'Shrooms or Acid. from what you wrote, especially the first part about how its hallucinogenic, that is OLD research. trust me on this one.
So, weed is bad is some aspects--all smoke irritates the lungs, it can make you lazy and lethargic and neglect responsibilities, but physically--especially if you eat well and exercise--you'll be just fine.
also, the point about cannabis-related psyche problems, most of the people in those mental hospitals may smoke weed, but that is NOT why they are there. It's for actual mental disorders or mental disorders caused by harder things like Meth and Coke and Heroin, but most people won't admit that they do that. any drug addict is most likely to admit to "only using marijuana once in a while" (i'm an english teacher with access to tons of research and i've been researching this stuff since i was 16 so i'm not just talking out my ass).
i am in no way endorsing the use of weed, nor am i saying 'dont do it' but i am just giving an alternate view--with research--to that of the OP.
