Weapon of choice

Scenerio:
You're live alone.
You hear some noises down stairs and decide to go check it out
What would you take with you?

You're in the upper area of the house so no knives or anything.. just things that would be upstairs.


Happened to me a bit ago.. I kinda freaked ._.
Grabbed a lighter and some hair spray and walked slowly down the stairs.

Ps. It was nothing, just tennis on tv ;-;

I don't have a house, so everything's on 1 floor. I'll just be excluding every room except for mine.

First I'd let my dog out so she could look for a possible threat, other than that I would get a scissor, a lighter and some deodorant.
Then I would slowly move out my room whilst always having my back touching a wall, so that he/she/it can't get behind me and I have a good view of the situation.
